There is a lot on my plate right now and sometimes it is difficult to be able to chew everything and swallow and digest and regurgitate because it seems the amount of food is neverending, so i think its safe to say that, basically, i am learning pacing-
both in my life, and in my film.
With some fantastically helpful feedback from Fran Krause, i kind of need to revamp—
the edit as it is is not working; rather, it is working, but not in the way i want it to, (which reminds me of the quote from The Phantom Tollbooth where the lead character asks ‘is this the right road?’ and the Whether (not weather) Man answers ‘there are no wrong roads! just right roads that might take you to the wrong places from where you want to be.)
so yes, if i can pull off this edit, i will have learned heaps about what does it mean to visually convey a story.
For the next week and a half however, all my time is dedicated to a friends’ , Luis Cordero, qualifying (live action) film that i am doing art direction for, the title of which is Gods and Dolls.
beep beep. have a good weekend.
